Before joining Boken Aquatics, I have had several swim coaches both in Nigeria and in the UK. I must say that since joining Boken Aquatics, the dedication to learning the right swim techniques has made me a better, faster and more competitive swimmer.

Coach Loya of Boken Aquatics is one of the best coach if not the best I know in Nigeria. He played a huge role in the swim progress of my 3 children. I've been with him for 9 years, he's a professional, knowledgeable at teaching different swim techniques and great at ensuring pace, challenge and fun for his swimmers.

Technique focused and discipline are 2 words that always come to mind when I think of Coach Loya of Boken Aquatics. My children have developed a lot in their swimming while training under Coach Loya. At age 1, Coach Loya was their first swimming Coach who introduced them to swimming and helped them to gain water confidence. If you are in it for the long haul I would definitely recommend training under him.

When my parents enrolled me in Boken Aquatics, I was a beginner swimmer who saw swimming as something I could do for leisure, but Coach Loya saw a swimming talent who could compete at a competitive level. He was very patient with me even though all the techniques I learned as a beginner were wrong; I had to unlearn to relearn. Thanks to Boken Academy, I am now a competitive swimmer. This academy's level of professionalism, consistency and discipline is unmatched, and I am a better swimmer after a year of training.

We started with Coach Loya from scratch! My son was an old learner compared to his peers and to the other children at the pool. He started his swimming journey at age 11 and had so much to learn but was quite determined to succeed. Coach Loya’s training did not just involve teaching him how to swim the four strokes in swimming. The classes were more like mentoring sessions in and out of the pool. Durotimi imbibed the discipline required to succeed at the pool with Coach Loya. His mindset changed and he became motivated to keep getting better. Even when he didn’t make the team or win medals, and I think I should console him, he would say “Don’t worry mummy, I’m still cooking. I will get there”. His ability to see “setbacks” as opportunities to improve was developed with Coach Loya. Everything with Coach Loya is a teaching opportunity. His first dream was to join the school team, he achieved it. The next dream was to join the club squad, he achieved it. There are more dreams to come, and I am confident he would surpass them by God’s grace and mercy. I pray for many wins and miracles for Coach Loya, in every endeavor. He truly epitomizes the name COACH.

We started with Coach Loya mid-July, I needed a facility where my sons get to compete with other kids as part of their practise sessions, to augment the private 1-1 lessons they were already getting at home. I particularly like coach Loya's disciplined and firm handling of the kids. He is clearly passionate about honing the swimming skills of the kids and pushing their limits. In the 2.5 months we've spent with Boken aquatics, I have seen very noticeable improvements in my kids swimming times. My sons always look forward to each training session. I would definitely recommend Boken aquatics for any aspiring competitive swimmer.

I have a child at Boken Aquatic and the journey so far has been incredible to watch - from perfecting swimming skills to joining the school squad.  With the excellent coaching and training from the instructors, my child has developed strong swimming skills and personal growth.  I would highly recommend Boken Aquatic.
